09DA0711 First day of Ministry

  Well today was the first day of ministry for our group from Cabot Arkansas. The morning was filled with VBS at DunbarLearningCenter. When we arrived there were no kids to be scene but our missionaries jumped out of the van and hit the streets to find the kids and to continue to pray for the community like they did on Sunday. We ended up with 4 kids and had a great time with them. (see video) The measure of ministry is not the number but the relationship that is built and that the love of Christ is shown and this VBS was very successful. The afternoon was divided in covering prayer (see Kayla’s post) and Living water. Living water is a ministry designed to meet a physical need with a cold bottle of water and look for opportunities to share the water that bring eternal life. After an hour in the 103 degree heat I asked the group that was with me (trae meghan mary nicole and tyler) if they wanted to head back. They immediately said not and we pushed on to The Bridge (the Dallas homeless shelter) and while there they continued to hand out water bottles and discovered that no matter what your circumstances  that God is good and worthy of praise.
